Raising The Attainment of Disadvantaged Youngsters Coaching Package

We will work with the school to launch, monitor and evaluate the ‘RADY’ project in your schools.  This project begins by ‘uplifing’ the starting points for Year 7 disadvantaged pupils so that predicted attainment outcomes are ‘equalised’ to other pupils nationally (or in the school, whichever is higher).  Schools that have adopted this approach have seen significant impact on attainment and progress of disadvantaged youngsters.  Signing up for this package will also mean representatives from your school will be invited to attend termly RADY network meetings free of charge.

Challenge Visits Annual Package

These termly half day challenge visits with a focus agreed by the headteacher or governors will provide you with external quality assurance as well as an accurate and well-evidenced report on the area of focus. The summary report following each visit will provide the headteacher and governors with strengths, weaknesses and practical next steps to challenge you to make further improvements.

Rigorous Pupil Premium Review

We will work with the headteacher and leadership team to evaluate all aspects of work to improve outcomes for disadvantaged youngsters through effective use of Pupil Premium funding.  The process will encourage all leaders to forensically examine the barriers to learning for your disadvantaged pupils and identify the most appropriate evidence-based interventions to help them catch up.  From this we will work collaboratively with the headteacher and leadership team to draft/redraft an action plan that will be strategic, evidence-based, ambitious and built on an ethos of high quality teaching for all.

This review will challenge you to forensically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of leadership at your school. It is collaborative because we believe that involving leadership teams in the process of review ensures more sustainable impact and enables leaders to hone their monitoring and evaluation skills.

Challenging Leadership Partner Annual Package

Signing up for a Challenging Leadership Partner (CLP) will provide you with a highly experienced school improvement consultant who will challenge you to evaluate and improve leadership at all levels throughout the academic year. The CLP reports will provide governors with an external evaluation of the school and help them in challenge and support of the school.

Review of Attendance

This review will provide you with a detailed report on the effectiveness of your school’s approach to tackling absence and punctuality to school and lessons.  Carried out as a joint review with an experienced Challenging Education consultant and Attend EDC consultant it will examine all aspects of attendance from the effectiveness of leaders to the day-to-day monitoring of absence and accuracy of registers.
