Trevor has been a key member of school improvement teams in two large Local Authorities, covering the entire age range from 4 to 18, and he has developed an excellent track record for supporting schools in improving leadership at all levels, the quality of teaching and, ultimately, their inspection grade. During his LA work, Trevor successfully developed and organised a county wide school-to-school support programme through the sharing of best practice in the classroom. In between working for LAs, Trevor spent four years as a senior leader in an average sized secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, where he coached teachers to improve their classroom practice and led a group of middle leaders to develop their ability to monitor and challenge effectively in their own subject areas. Most recently, Trevor has enjoyed the work and challenges of being interim CEO of a new primary MAT and is a trustee of a 2-19 MAT in Staffordshire.
Trevor is also an associate lecturer with Sheffield Hallam University and an accredited consultant for Fischer Family Trust.
